Most people are now waiting for the sun to rear its beautiful head into their lives once more, and understandably so. Not only is the sun just generally known to improve one’s mood “just because”, it is also scientifically proven that the sun just causes our brains to release more serotonin. If you’re not familiar with the concept of serotonin, a lack of it often causes depression, which should give you enough of an idea of what it does. If you feel like you’re lacking your fix of vitamin D, some fun in the sun, and not able to wait those few more months until the summer, then why not plan for an early holiday? Of course, most of the western world is still shrouded in winter’s blanket of droopy weather as well, but that does not mean the whole world is following suit. For example, Australia is currently hitting mid-20s Celsius lately, and basking in a satisfactory amount of sun. If it’s been on your to-do list but you haven’t gotten around to it, then now’s a good time for it. If it has never been on your travelling bucket list, then it very much should be, and we’re briefly going to look at why that is.
Why you’re here in the first place
Well, other than the weather that is currently much more appealing for most people compared to let’s say, London or Stockholm, a lot of places in Australia can prove to be quite the picturesque holiday destination. Maybe much less popular than let’s say, Spain or Portugal, but don’t let that put you off. With fewer tourists and more beaches at your disposal, it’s probably going to be much more relaxing than going to a busier holiday hotspot you might have had planned. Nothing better than a slightly emptier beach, and lazing about all day, sipping drinks with little umbrellas.
As good as it may be to lay around in the sun all day, it would be safe to say that you’ve probably done that before on numerous occasions. The chances of stumbling upon something actually memorable and life-changing during the average holidays at the beach are somewhat slim. To remedy that, and have a holiday to remember, try something different, something you don’t usually get involved in, or something you don’t have the opportunity to do back home. If you pass by Sydney you might find some appealing golf club deals, maybe it’s just what you needed to forget about the hustle and bustle of daily life back at home. Or maybe, you can go and do something absolutely unforgettable without even straying too far from the beach, namely, go and see the great barrier reef. Truly a one of a kind sight, and a truly stunning sight that almost feels not of this Earth. Being the single largest living structure on this very planet, it definitely lives up to its name, both in beauty and grandeur. If you’re feeling the call of the wild, and the adventurer within you is just waiting for something exciting to happen, then the great barrier reef is definitely not something you want to miss during your trip to Australia.
