We got to stay at the beautiful Bantry Bay Suite Hotel situated on the Atlantic Seaboard during a recent staycation in Cape Town.
Nothing quite beats the feeling of enjoying all the beauty our city has to offer, but to top it off, stay at one of Cape Town’s finest hotels with a rich history.
The Bantry Bay Hotel was established in 1996, with 41 luxury suites comprising a deluxe luxury penthouse as well as deluxe duplex and studio apartments, of which 20 luxury suites have recently been refurbished. Complete with excellent four-star hotel service on every last luxurious detail one could ask for.
You can expect to be mindblown by breathtaking, scenic views all around you while living it up at the Bantry Bay Hotel. Expect to see views of the iconic Table Mountain and Lions Head, which are both very close to the Bantry Bay Suite Hotel. At a stone’s throw away, you can find yourself in the hustle and bustle of Sea Point main road which offers a variety of restaurants, fast food outlets and fashion stores. Looking for something more relaxing? Well then I advise a beautiful walk on the beach or Sea Point promenade, which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
We stayed in a beautiful deluxe sea-view suite that ranges from R2050 per room per night. Our room was spacious and very clean and lead out onto a beautiful balcony with breathtaking views of the ocean. The room is fully equipped with a perfect little kitchenette and everything you need to make a small meal. We sadly didn’t use this as we enjoyed lunch and dinner downstairs at their restaurant while overlooking the beautiful pool.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with both hot and cold specialties on both mornings. The restaurant’s main focus is to serve only fresh products delivered to the hotel daily. The à la carte lunch and terrace menu is filled with light, enticing meals, guaranteed to satisfy your appetite. Tantalise your taste buds with sumptuous complimentary breakfast delicacies as well as a hot breakfast menu and a variety of Chef’s specialities. The focus is on all things local with fresh products delivered to the hotel daily. The à la carte lunch and terrace menu is filled with light, enticing meals, guaranteed to satisfy your appetite. Freddie’s Bar & Garden Terrace is the Bantry Bay Suite Hotel’s exclusive outdoor brasserie set within the colourful, luxuriant garden overlooking the pool. Famous for its array of refreshing drinks, cocktails and award-winning wines along with light meals, snack baskets and decadent homemade cakes and desserts – increasingly popular with locals and hotel guests.
The Bantry Bay Suite Hotel provides services such as a bar, conference facilities, lounges, 24-hour porterage and reception, safe on-site parking and garden terrace. The hotel’s prime location offers quick and easy access to the CBD and the V&A Waterfront.
The Bantry Bay Suite Hotel also provides in-house guests with a free “Handy” smartphone to better discover and experience what the city has to offer. Guests are able to take this travel buddy on or off site and can conveniently make unlimited local and international calls. This allows foreign travellers the ability to stay connected with friends and family without the trouble of purchasing a local SIM card or the worry of roaming charges. This mobile travel guide also includes details of the services available at the Bantry Bay Suite Hotel as well as location specific content such as nearby tourist attractions, places of interest, and brand promotions offered in the area. More than a smartphone, the Handy technology also eases communication between the hotel and in-house guests, such as speed dial to the hotel’s concierge or guest services where the team can assist with travel recommendations, directions, and more.
